advice is being ignored? Winston Peters was not the Minister
introducing a bill - a mistake was made. Interesting is that the same
thing happened some years ago with another new Minister - Gerry
Brownlee. He asked leave to speak in identical circumstances and
Labour allowed him to speak. This time, when leave was asked for, it
was Gerry Brownlee that refused. The contrasty is between a
constuctive opposition then, and a bitter and uncooperative opposition
now.
