We have one Rich. Pity Labour makes a habit of failing to comprehend rules. Just like you do. Jacinda with her determination to give unions more power IS the biggest risk our democracy has seen in years! She thinks Baubles Peters has
    the right to do what
he feels like rather than what makes sense. Now HIS decision was another threat
    to democracy.

You Rich are about to see exactly what an opposition is and it ain't going to be anything like the sheep that bleated so much over the last nine years.

When the coalition of losers fly's apart just remember it was Winston who set the poor fools up for the car crash they'll be next election.

With Labour happy to bypass select committee's on legislation their's a denial of democracy straight off the bat Rich. Funny but I get the distinct impression
that you and Labour have your own private ideas of the meaning of democracy and
    poverty along
with so many other words you both use with abandon. Guess it reflects a mindset
that has closer ties to the Communist Manifesto than reality.

We had no opposition from 2008-2017 and now we have no government:

That's nothing short of humiliating for Labour.

An Opposition member was nearly elected Speaker today and Labour conceded Select Committee numbers so all Opposition members could have a place on one Select Committee or another. So there must be an Opposition.
    QED
Perhaps it is Jacinda who is imagining that there is no Opposition.

They did have the numbers, but wanted the agreed unanimous vote for
Mallard. National reneged on a deal - guess they are holding onto
being as destructive as possible instead of a respponsible opposition.

What is shows is that National cannot be trusted to keep their word. Disappointing even if not very surprising - after all it is that untrustworthiness that left them without friends to get themselves
    into government . . .

No Rich. As always your lack of comprehension skills lets you down yet again. National had nothing to do with the new government. That was purely a fit of spite on Winston's part. Take a look at Jacinta. The poor woman's aged ten years in the last ten
days and seems to have lost her smile. She probably won't last the hundred days
she goes on about. Whatever happens when the melt down comes will be a coalition of losers. The pertinent question isn't 'will we get an opposition?. It's WILL WE GET AN
EFFECTIVE GOVERNMENT. I predict the opposition will run roughshod over the 'government'both in the house and in the committees they'll dominate.

Hope you've got plenty of popcorn George cause we're going to need tons to see us through to the inevitable disintegration of the coalition of losers. Then we'll get a government back without having to worry about winsome Winnie or the
    Greens :)

So what 'deal'did National renege on Rich. They were quite happy to have Mallard. not surprising as he's probably one of the few people in the house is totaly up to date on the rules considering how often he's fallen foul of them :)

They had no clue. They never would have made such a concession otherwise. Hipkins and Ardern are lying like flatfish to try and hide their embarrassment.
The politics journos have called it.

    And three more years...
Pandering to Peters, every bit of legislation goes past him before the opposition crowds it out in committee
