• Back to important issues - English gets something right!

From Rich80105@3:770/3 to All on Friday, June 23, 2017 08:39:40
On Morning report this morning, I was peased to hear that Bill English
wants to get to the real issues at the National Party Conference of
jobs and salaries. Lets not quibble about whether salaries includes
wages - this is a major turnaround for the National government who
have previously denied any problem - after all if housing isn't a
crisis then there are no crises in New Zealand ever!

The new focus is of course welcome, but it was disappointing to then
hear that there are no announcements expected at the conference -
perhaps Bill has just identified the problem and needs to start
listening to Labour and the GReens for a few ideas . . .

Those poor foreign students Labour shoved into sweatshop hovels can only dream about wages and proper housing, Dickbot.

So do you think National should not have allowd them in on working
    holiday visas, JohnO?

What the fuck are you dribbling about? "National" has nothing to do with it. They are a political party. It Immigration New Zealand that grants working visas, under government policy (not changed by the current governing party either).

We still don't know if they are on working holiday visas, Dickbot. That's just a story you're shopping but even Andrew Kirton didn't know as of last night. Somehow you know better than Kirton, eh Dickbot? That or you are making it up. Which is it?

I'd be peased to see you debating in an intelligent manner Rich. But
guess like your spelling and comprehension skills that'd be an
    impossibility:)

It is a fair bet they are on three month visitors permits. American students with return tickets visiting NZ during USA summer break would usually go through NZ Immigration like a dose of salts. A bulk application of 12 month work visas (they are not
issued for three months) would have attracted attention.

I believe we can take it as read that liebor were doing this on the
cheap hoping that they wouldn't attract attention.
For the liebor leaders to say they know little or nothing of this is
refuted by the published materials the US students responded to...
A pity that our printed media has not responded to this as fulsomely as
they did the 'bugging' of an office
