    Oh dear - another cover-up! http://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2017/06/new-pike-footage-shows-no-sign-of-inferno.html

    The blogger NRT says:

"They've had this footage since 2011. They've never shown it to
families, and they have effectively covered it up. As for why, I guess
the last thing the government would want is evidence that people might
have survived the initial explosion and waited for rescue which never
came. Then they might go from a government which merely let people die needlessly due to deregulation to one which callously left people to
die. For the politicians, the safest course is simply to seal it all
up and forget about it - because actually looking might find something
they desperately, desperately don't want to. For them, our ignorance
    is their bliss.

National has lied so often on this that we simply can not trust
anything they say on the issue. And pretty obviously, if we want
different decisions to be made, we need a different government, which
isn't primarily invested in covering its own arse on the issue. "

"Callous" is the way Labour and the idiot left continue to poke sticks into the
    dead miners' corpses.

That bore is at the very, very far end of the mine. Even the idiot lefties are only talking about entering the drift (which is blocked by a rock fall).

I reckon every time some idiot lefty tries to politicise this tragedy that another 1% goes to the Nats.

Of course Newshub are ghouls - it sells!
But the fact remains that the families were not given correct
information - if you prefer, they were lied to. Nothjing you or JohnO
has said makes up for that honesty deficit.

Your message slithered out through the drain long ago Tony - trolls
use abuse of other participants in a thread as a tactic to avoid a
reality they would rather run from than face. To get back to the Pike
River issue, I find it amusing that all those unthinking blind
supporters of the lies peddled by our current government firmly
believed that it was not possible to have another look at any part of
the mine - and suddenly some long held information was released
through the OIA, and facts were discovered that had previouly been
hidden - an Lo! the so-called expert opinions and scientific barriers
to entry suddenly disappeared! - although of course they will try to
only show what they want us to see even now. A callous government
meets a caring and persistent community who just want to know what
happened - and are finding that the cover-up is cold comfort. Using
insurance money to both pay some compensation to families and get out
of having to hold anyone to account was another callous scheme by the government - that may well fall over in the court.

Moral rectitude? National don't understand the term.

    What abuse?
You refer to trolls, who are they if not yourself - your abuse is legion!

Nonsense and once more you are happy to lift the hope of the families for political gain knowing full well that nobody is going all the way into the mine where the men died.
    You are the callous one.

Moral rectitude? National don't understand the term.
Irrelevant, unless you accept that both major parties and some minor parties share the same level of morality! But you will never do truth will you?
