• Hagar's "Civilans" toting machine guns and RPGs?

"The nine people killed during the controversial NZ Special Air Service were armed with automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns, the head of the NZ Army Major-General Peter Kelly has told his officers."

It just keeps getting worse for Hagar and his half-arsed poorly researched stories.

Maybe he should have looked at both sides of the claims before rushing to print? Nope, not the way he works, is it?

No. I reckon he should be allowed to make a fool of himself as often
as possible and as he attracts others of his poorly educated ilk we can
    ident them.
    And ignore their blatherings..
Next lot of troops we send anywhere perhaps those armchair critics can
be drafted in as forward observers on the premise that they will have
told their mates where they are and don't shoot please ?

What information is that, JohnO? Do you mean the statement from a
Cabinet Minister that the operation was a fiasco? Or the statements of
an SAS soldier? - or the Herald report of its interview with an SAS
soldier after the book was published?

You have already been told: Mapp only said this after seeing Stephenson's documentary on TV.

    Or the statements of
    an SAS soldier?

Unattributed and uncontestable. In other words, worthless.

    - or the Herald report of its interview with an SAS
soldier after the book was published?

What interview was this? Otherwise, as above.

Oh come on George. Can you imagine the stench when they got within two
thousand km of the operation area as they filled their pants?
