Despite the Ruataniwha dam being virtually dead - the estimated
returns do not make it a worthwhile investment - the government is
going to the Supreme Court to try and gain the ability to sell off our conservation land - even if this dam doesn't go ahead National want to
ability to meet business wants in other places.

Paying for legal costs to appear in the Supreme Court to protect our conservation areas from the government is not something that members
of Forest and Bird expect their money to be needed for - they would I
am sure much rather be helpig with predator erradication.
