The angry little man claiming the health service is broken with no-oneI have a relative who has recently been treated by the local hospital, she has no-one but me to support her. The treatment was courteous, on-time and plenty of time devoted to her by the registrar and the consultant. The conclusion a drug regime that seems to be working well. The consultant wants an MRI to be done to be on the safe side and guess what? It has been delayed because of the junior doctor's strike.

There has been talk about people who have not been treated - are you
getting confused? Certainly my impression is that the public health
care system works very well once you have been admitted - its just
that many are finding it hard to get admitted

Hips, knees, heart, . . . most of us know someone who is waiting, and
others who give in and pay to go private. It does vary around the
country - some specialists are easier to get appointments with than
others.
