I have a relative who has recently been treated by the local hospital, she has no-one but me to support her. The treatment was courteous, on-time and plenty of time devoted to her by the registrar and the consultant. The conclusion a drug regime that seems to be working well. The consultant wants an MRI to be done to be on the safe side and guess what? It has been delayed because of the junior doctor's strike.

    Of course he doesn't.

As I wrote I have been in the system all this past year.
Had no trouble with getting into the system.
Others (patients) I've talked with within the system had no great horror stories which, if he and liebor had a shred of truth behind their
    statements, would exist.

Hips, knees, heart, . . . most of us know someone who is waiting, and
others who give in and pay to go private. It does vary around the

No-one being treated? Do you have a cite?

Well that's a bloody lie for a start.
It would be if true - I'll suspect judgement until you produce the
    cite.

Just spent last year in the Health Care system as a patient and at no >>>>> time were services denied to me because of 'cutbacks' or any other form >>>>> of rationing.
And as for the Greens its still La La land mung beans and a fart to
    electricity converter in your pants..
And whiny old Peters who is locked out of his Marae along with the
mechanic and busy cracking in jokes with his adoring fans.
Didn't bother watching the bowtied one or The last man standing.
You can only stand so much at one time.
Nothing there that will move the poll figures

There has been talk about people who have not been treated - are you
getting confused? Certainly my impression is that the public health
care system works very well once you have been admitted - its just
that many are finding it hard to get admitted
Who are they. Do you have examples.

"Hard to get admitted" will include those whose doctors have told them there
is no state funding for their particular condition/treatment and they'll have to "go private."

Hips, knees, heart, . . . most of us know someone who is waiting, and
others who give in and pay to go private. It does vary around the
country - some specialists are easier to get appointments with than
    others.

Cite please Rich. Needed because I'll bet other posters are sick and
tired of you making shit up like the disgusting troll you are Rich!

George may have a different reference of course -we can only guess
what inforamtion he was basing his comments on.

Just another rant from labours resident fishwife.

He cant understand that I've been a patient under treatment for most of >>>2016?
    As I stated twice...
That is harldy relevant to the story of those 60,000 who were referred
to a specialist but could not get to see one. Can you explain why you
think your experience is relevant to this issue, george?

    You started the thread with
The angry little man claiming the health service is broken with no-one >>>being treated..

I asked for a cite, as clearly plenty of people are being treated.
So where is your cite for that statement george - or were you quoting >>yourself you angry little man . . .?

Notice that its quoted a liebor source
    http://www.health.govt.nz/publication/national-patient-flow-prioritisation-outcome-referrals-first-specialist-assessment-tables

    only as comment on >>http://www.health.govt.nz/publication/national-patient-flow-prioritisation-outcome-referrals-first-specialist-assessment-tables

Are statistics too hard for you, george?
You really cannot avoid the opportunity to be sarcastic can you?
You could have debated this with some dignity but managed to completely avoid >that - A donald Trump trait methinks.
    Tony
    I don't like sarcasm.
