    However the article makes mention of "emergency termination" being unacceptable and that is what I find repugnant. I have never supported abortion as a form of contraception in normal relationships but following rape or as a result of medical emergency it has to be an option surely?

    Women and their doctors will continue to do what they think best. If Trump
    has cut off funding other sources of funding will be found.
    He has not brought in an outright ban on abortion. Heaven help him if he
    tries that!
    But politicians should stay out of medical controversies.

    I agree Abortion should not be a political issue, it is a medical and ethical one.
    And doctors have often done the right thing even in cases where abortion was illegal.

    No. Most women in NZ are okay. The ones I know are fantastic. And if you
    want creatures getting through doorways sideways go to the US.
