• The rank stupidity and hypocrisy of NZFirst

From JohnO@3:770/3 to All on Monday, November 28, 2016 16:52:31
Ron Mark and NZF opposing the government getting out of Bowen House and building its own $100m* office facility. Mark stupidly whines that there are better things to spend the money on.

Hilarious. The building can be funded at $3m per year but staying as-is costs $6mil per year.

But what is even more ridiculous: that $6m is being paid to a foreign landlord.

So... NZF prefers we the taxpayer pay $6mil to an overseas landlord rather than
$3mil to fund the new buildings that would owned by the government.

To their credit, the other parties are going along with the plan.

It's sad that 10% or more of the population would vote for these clowns.

    * probably would actually cost more ... but certainly less than $200m which would break even the lease to foreign landlord.

Indeed as John Key explains it's better for Govt to own essential
assets rather than paying private owners for their use - so all those
state asset sales, and the ongoing sale of houses owned by the
government for social housing . . . hypocrisy reigns!

You are too stupid for words. The government wants the building because it needs it, not because it is interested in being in the commercial property business. Totally different to what you would try to insinuate, but that's the sort of ignorance and
stupidity we're used to from you.
