• Yes the government did waste the time of the house

Andrew Geddis is always worth reading: http://pundit.co.nz/content/post-tpp-confusion-or-will-ms-miller-come-to-wellington

More wasted time from National - with the conclusion entirely
consistent with objections from the Oopposition when the bill was
    pushed through . . .

Key is just blustering to try and avoid the reality that he has failed
again - I suspect the talk of tax cuts is a similar distraction.

More crap from the resident dichead.
The only way for the country to prosper is to trade.
A free trade deal is the only way that is going to happen.
If trump wants to live in 1950 time warp good on him.
Meanwhile free trade with more enlighten countries
can only be a good thing.

OK, so we can expect crap from you - congratulationson your honesty.

The only way for the country to prosper is to trade.
    Agreed

A free trade deal is the only way that is going to happen.
Well we have been doing some trade without free trade agreements, but
I agree that they can help.

If trump wants to live in 1950 time warp good on him.
It depends on what decisions he makes I guess

Meanwhile free trade with more enlighten countries
can only be a good thing.
    What free trade deal?
Did you read the Andrew Geddis article? - we made a number of
concessions to the USA which are only of value if they agree to sign
the TPPA. Since that now looks very unlikely we won't get value for
those concessions on things like extending the term for copyright from
50 to 70 years - why spend our negotiating capital without the
benefits? (And extending copyright does cost us - without the USA
there is no benefit - and extending copyright doesn't have much to do
    with free trade'! ).

So the time passing a bill in the house was a total waste - which was
    the point I was making.

Rich. The pundit, like you is just another Labour party spin doctor. It
is slightly better balanced in it's rants than you are and certainly
seems to share your "Labour good, National bad' mantra.

A point that you completely failed to make.
The TPPA is of value even without the USA, less value perhaps but value nonetheless. Trade afreements don't "help", they are absulutely essential to countries like this one.

I would be more concerned about the 3 hr wasted a week by the coalition of losers.
During question time. Most of the time they are incapable of answering a question.
So they cop out by asking " does the minister stand by his statements"
The spokesperson on fish wives will then ask some crap question on some cry of
the week story that's been dug up from the Standard.
Gayboy who is right out of his depth with finance will dig himself a deeper hole.
NZ first will have another bitch about immigration before waddling of for another
Committee meeting at the Green parrot.
Miss Piggy from the Green will rant on about compulsory sugar taxs.
    They really are appalling dull.
