• Rich is Clinton?

From Pooh@3:770/3 to All on Friday, October 21, 2016 19:19:29
Caught the tail end of the presidential debate. Damn near fell off me
chair when Clinton channelled Rich and quoted: We'll make sure the rich
pay their fair share of taxes.... A Rich truism he's stated here on many occasions. Though she, like Rich didn't define wealthy though she did
expose her hypocrisy after she dodged paying taxes on $1,000,000 last
year. The comments enough to make Trump look like a better choice for
    president after all :)

At this time the Americans have to choose, of course many will not vote. But at the end of the day they have to choose!
Of the two Clinton is the least dangerous and the least septic.

None of these show NZ to be left or right in comparison to any international measure therefore all of them have limited academic value and no practical application. MY opinion is as good as theirs.

    Or Clinton.

It is amazing to think that these two are who have been selected to stand

You can't help seeing implications that are not there, can you Tony. I
was responding to the statement that our politicians can safely walk
among the public with no worries - that is demonstrably not true, and
it is regrettable that there has needed to be an escalation of the
amount of protection required. John Key is virtually always
accompanied by protection squad members, previous prime ministers had
not required protection to the same extent. We have been told that the >increase is in response to credible threats and I have no reason not

You are full of it as usual Rich.
Helen Clarke had just as much protection - I defy you to disprove that!
The difference in this and many other regards to the USA is dramatically profound and it takes only a few brain cells to comprehend that.
What happens there affects us of course but we are as different as democracy (NZ) and oligarchy (USA) - do you follow that?

It has been extensively reported in news media.

He is the first NZ Prime Minister to so heavily rely on such
    protection.

If that's true, then you can put that down to the bad behaviour of lefty
    fuckwits.
Really? Do you have any evidence of that?

Sure, right after you provide evidence that Key "seldom goes anywhere without armed protection squad members"

What you say is true enough, if taken without context. But it misses the point. Context is important, and it includes the fact that America has
lost more than one President to assassination, not to mention a number of
other politically prominent persons similarly. But in the New Zealand
case no parallels come to mind. So there's no denying that, relative to
the US, politicians are safer here than there - and the intent of the
original proposition is upheld. But that's no reason not to be wary.
The fact that senior NZ politicians are accorded protection in public is
simply a matter of prudence, not a sign that civilisation is about to
    collapse.

What is clear is that the statement that "Our politicians can safely
walk among the public with no worries. The American President can't,
in America." is either untrue or at least unproven. New Zealand
What on earth do you mean by unproven? There is no logic to that!!! Or do you think we have to unprove something that does not exist?Stupid!
It is simply true and you either know it and are lying or too daft to comprehend the truth. Our politicians at all levels walk safely amongst us nearly all of the time. There is no more protection for John Key than there has been for any previous recent PM - Fact, not conjecture.
politicians are not exempt from external threats - John Key has
himself referred to more general threats to New Zealanders from NZ
citizens returning from fighting for ISIS for example . . .
Dangerous and most unfair rhetoric. A natural progression based on a changing world and it in no way at all disproves waht I have said.
And for you to suggest that "we are not as different from the USA as some may like to think" indicates a desperate attempt to make an unmakeable point.
All you have posted on this point is childish make believe. I suggest you keep to politics, at least there we can all have a laugh!

What is clear is that the statement that "Our politicians can safely
walk among the public with no worries. The American President can't,
in America." is either untrue or at least unproven. New Zealand
What on earth do you mean by unproven? There is no logic to that!!!
Unproven means that the statement has not been proved. What is it that
    you don't understand about that?

    Or do you
think we have to unprove something that does not exist?Stupid!
It is only your conjecture that is stupid.

It is simply true and you either know it and are lying or too daft to >comprehend the truth.
You have provided no evidence relating to teh statement - I do nt
believe that it is true, but I am not prepared to seek evidence for
every silly statement other posters make.
I note that when depserate, you resort to persona abuse - very
childish of you Tony - you are capable of better behaviour.

Our politicians at all levels walk safely amongst us
nearly all of the time. There is no more protection for John Key than there has
been for any previous recent PM - Fact, not conjecture.
Then you can provide sonmeevidence of it?

It is a fact that spending on DP has increased under our current PM
from the previous government, but you probably don't want to know
    that.

politicians are not exempt from external threats - John Key has
himself referred to more general threats to New Zealanders from NZ

    Dangerous and most unfair rhetoric.

A natural progression based on a changing
world and it in no way at all disproves waht I have said.
So there has been no change but now change is a natural progression -
    make up your mind . . .

And for you to suggest that "we are not as different from the USA as some may >like to think" indicates a desperate attempt to make an unmakeable point.
All you have posted on this point is childish make believe. I suggest you keep >to politics, at least there we can all have a laugh!

So we have intolerance, double standards, chidish abuse, and a total
lack of any supporting evidence for your personal opinions which

    no extremes has to help.
    Tony
John Key seldom goes anywhere without armed protection squad members. >>>>>>> He is the first NZ Prime Minister to so heavily rely on such
    protection.
You really can't help yourself can you?
"He is the first NZ Prime Minister to so heavily rely" implies it is his >>>>>> choice
where as it is not in reality.
Also he and his family are still seen out and about without minders, and >>>>>> Helen
Clark had minders from time to time.
    Tony

You can't help seeing implications that are not there, can you Tony. I >>>>> was responding to the statement that our politicians can safely walk >>>>> among the public with no worries - that is demonstrably not true, and >>>>> it is regrettable that there has needed to be an escalation of the
amount of protection required. John Key is virtually always
accompanied by protection squad members, previous prime ministers had >>>>> not required protection to the same extent. We have been told that the >>>>> increase is in response to credible threats and I have no reason not >>>>> to believe that. It is now eight years since John Key became prime
minister; and a lot has happened in the world since then; we are not >>>>> as different from the USA as some may like to think.
You are full of it as usual Rich.
Helen Clarke had just as much protection - I defy you to disprove that! >>> Leaving aide your penchant for making statements without supporting
evidence (while asking that of others) Helen Clark had the same
service as John Key, but it was not needed as much - see for example:
    http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/political/74543/police-say-they-are-fully-responsible-for-vip-protection
    and
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomatic_Protection_Service

The difference in this and many other regards to the USA is dramatically >>>> profound and it takes only a few brain cells to comprehend that.
What happens there affects us of course but we are as different as democracy
(NZ) and oligarchy (USA) - do you follow that?
    Tony
What is clear is that the statement that "Our politicians can safely
walk among the public with no worries. The American President can't,
in America." is either untrue or at least unproven. New Zealand
What on earth do you mean by unproven? There is no logic to that!!!
Unproven means that the statement has not been proved. What is it that
    you don't understand about that?

    Or do you
think we have to unprove something that does not exist?Stupid!
It is only your conjecture that is stupid.

It is simply true and you either know it and are lying or too daft to
    comprehend the truth.

It is a fact that spending on DP has increased under our current PM
from the previous government, but you probably don't want to know
    that.

politicians are not exempt from external threats - John Key has
himself referred to more general threats to New Zealanders from NZ
citizens returning from fighting for ISIS for example . . .

    Dangerous and most unfair rhetoric.
Why, Tony? All I am doing is quoting the current prime minister. Do
you any evidence he is wrong?

A natural progression based on a changing
world and it in no way at all disproves waht I have said.
So there has been no change but now change is a natural progression -
    make up your mind . . .

And for you to suggest that "we are not as different from the USA as some may
like to think" indicates a desperate attempt to make an unmakeable point.
All you have posted on this point is childish make believe. I suggest you keep
to politics, at least there we can all have a laugh!

    Tony

So we have intolerance, double standards, chidish abuse, and a total
lack of any supporting evidence for your personal opinions which
appear to be unclear anyway - you fit right in with the classic trolls
    of nz.general, Tony.

YOU made the claim about Key. Where is your proof to support the lie
Rich? The only classic troll in nz.general is YOU Rich with your
constant changing of topic, avoidance of discussion of Labours failings
    and lying Rich.

Ditto. Anyway the Democrats are well right of our left parties.

    [ dryrot.vcf ] (Attachment)
Yes that is correct but Rich believes our right of centre parties are
    extreme
right, he has used other more flowery but incorrect descriptions. NZ parties
are all pretty close to centrist by world standards.

Yes that is right fortunately and long may it be so.

John Key seldom goes anywhere without armed protection squad members.
He is the first NZ Prime Minister to so heavily rely on such
    protection.

BULLSHIT! Clark and every PM has had armed protection Rich. You need to
stop making bullshit up if you want people to stop pointing out what a lying, comprehension less marxist muppet you are!
