• Why Hekia had to go

The spin is that a few National Cabinet Ministers just happened to
have decided that they want to give up and not stand - some have not
yet made up their mind, but there wil be changes. Sounds good, and it
may well be if Key uses that myth to get rid of more like Hekia Parata
    : http://thespinoff.co.nz/parenting/19-10-2016/a-teacher-tells-you-what-you-need-to-know-about-bulk-funding/

The problem of course is that National have a very shallow pool -
remember the "next on the list" MP that turned out to be Aaron
Gilmore? And of those that are already in parliament, who do they
have that would be nearly as "good" as Hekia Parata, Nick Smith, Anne
Tolley, Simon Bridges, Gerry Brownlee . . .

What a load of BS. Parata didn't "have to go". She went because she wanted to.

On her own terms. On top. Despite running one of *the* most difficult portfolios.

Seeing her school Material Turei in fluent Te Reo after Turei's stumbling effort in Parliament was a classic.

The depth of skills in our parliament is not great, the worst of the major parties is of course Labour for obvious reasons.
Apart from that the rest of your stupid post simply shows how desperate people like you can get.

Speaking of a shortfall in staff resources, how is Labour going with press secretaries these days? They seem to be on a record streak of one month without
    one leaving!

I should have said that of course she did not have to go.
It was her decision, as is always the case with competent ministers.
