• Desperation, desperation - and only core support matters

First we have the shallow media reactin to a so-called "milestone" -
with the Epsom MP refreshingly telling it as it isdespite a reminder
that he was "gifted"the seat by National: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/reserve-bank-tightening-reins-amount-kiwis-can-borrow-cool-off-aucklands-housing-market

What is not talked about is the reality of the government response:
    * $25 million more for social housing - that reflects the necessity
for government to make benefits available in terms of their
obligations under existing legislation - its only enough to buy about
25 houses! (whioch of course they are not doing - National ae still
    selling houses!)
    * The legislation is attacking property rights. Desperate to find land
to build on (land-bankers are of course too slow - that is the
"market"working as you would expect...), National want to change the
rules so that if they had previously taken over land for specific use
in the past (eg military requirements) and it is no longer required,
they do not have to offer it back to the previous owners, but can use
    it for housing instead . . .

National don't really believe in property rights - all they believe is
that their polling is showing that their poor performance is losing
them votes - staying in government is all they care about . . .

*Meanwhile, immigration is keeping wages low, and delivering National
party donors; capital gains are protected from being taxed as other
income is, and the real estate agents and property developers are
being delivered their dividend for political support . . .

Desperation, Dickbot? Desperation is a party unable to keep it's chin above 30%
polling - or even 25%. Desperation is a party that has seen it's vote drop in 4
consecutive elections. Desperate is a party that changes its leader every couple of years.
Desperate is a party that sees its staff leaving like lemmings. Desperate is a party that has an election coming and no money to campaign with. Desperate is a
party whose sole chance of power requires NZ First to form a government with the Greens, who
they despise and will not work with.

Desperate - the Labour party. Reality sucks for you, Dickbot.

Speaking of all that, surely it's time for the next leader. Who will it
be ??? Nash perhaps or is he heading to Winston first??

Nive to know that one Minister admits there is a housing crisis . . .
shame he doesn;t want to do anything about it . . .
