• Liebor declares an emergency

From george152@3:770/3 to All on Monday, August 29, 2016 08:11:21
More bloody words and not a bit of truth behind any of them.
To build more houses you need more carpenters and all the other trades.
    And they're flat out already.
    And Liebor, listen very closely.
It's not governments who build houses, it's not even Councils.

It's that that Liebor hate. Private enterprise.

And Liebor want them to build houses and sell them off at a loss..
    How communistic of Liebor.
    But not surprising

I think Twyford, Labour's waffling housing burbler, is the most smarmy
    looking politician in living memory.

I think Twyford, Labour's waffling housing burbler, is the most smarmy looking politician in living memory.

He's all bumper sticker slogan and zero substance. Free to make a lot of noise in opposition but would be completely out of his depth if he ever made it into government.

And his "houses all getting bought by people with chinky sounding names" effort
is an eternal disgrace upon the Labour Party.

As Hooten put it this morning on Nat Rad, the housing mess that
National now preside over has progressed from crisis to emergency to
"total hilarity" since neither National nor Labour will countenance
    any fall in house prices.

The quality of governance is denoted not by effectiveness during the
good times but during the bad, when a government is faced by problems
it has allowed to spiral out of control.

So far, in both immigration and housing policy, that quality is,
demonstrably, one big, fat zero. This is exactly what you get with a
mob of under-educated feather-bedded spivs and corporate placemen with
no vision, no plan and no strategy.

(Housing minister, Dr Nick Smith, gained a Doctorate in New Zealand Landslides.)

It's debatable that property prices have 'spiraled out of control'. Property prices (and related to incomes) in Auckland are largely inline with Sydney and Melbourne for example - despite those cities not having the physical constraint
    of being located
    on an isthmus.

So far, in both immigration and housing policy, that quality is, demonstrably, one big, fat zero.

    Please demonstrate this then.

It's all smoke and mirrors george. the real emergency for the left is
that even though National slips in the polls the only way they have a
chance of becoming government is by getting into bed with <shudder>
    Winsome Peters :)

    Pooh

    Jealousy spurred that inane comment.
What Liebor hate is the markets and the ability for sellers to accept
the highest price offered by a buyer.
And Peters is against Indian NZers starting up a political party because
    its 'racist'...
    Straining the credulity there
