• The Sunday trading debacle

Did any-one else notice how the Liebor Islander clan wanted the Nats to
cross the floor in a personal vote?
Yet they block vote in spite of that 'personal vote' proviso....
A sign of the times when claims of sacred religious holidays are
    dismissed by the majority.
    And long may it continue

The whole rule book on trading should be scrapped. Leaving it to
councils is stupid. It should be between traders and their customers -
    nobody else.

Agreed 100%. The state should never have the power to limit free trade in
    this way.

Agreed. Also a cop out and shoving the problem somewhere else. Still that is capitalism.

The issue the Government seems to have missed that people cross local
electrol boundaries without even knowing that that they are there. This
country is small enough for one law to apply all over on this matter.

Sounds to me a little like a softening up exercise.
Remember the BS when TV was introduced and shock horror then the hours
were extended and the end of the world was nigh when colour was
    introduced...
Any Sunday shopping I've ever done has been over the Internet

There should not be any laws based in the mythology of religion.

Preventing people from trading is most definitely not capitalism.

How about a law banning religious schools? IOW banning the brainwashing
    of 5 year-olds.

Teaching children these fairy tales as if they are fact is tantamount to
child abuse. It's a disgusting and unfair thing to do to kids. There is far
too much of this harmful nonsense in this world.
