It has been noted that the media and Nat MPs are now referring to the
National led government instead of the Key led government.
Keys polling is on the slide and it won't go up again.

Fascinating. Noted by who? And what has it slidden to? And when has any coalition govt been referred to by its leader's name as opposed to the

Another video here - much the same perspective; no mention of TPP

So The Herald and Stuff got it wrong then?

    Yeah.
People were booing for various different reasons.
They will do that when a straight guy turns up in a pink shirt, its like
    he is mocking them.
    There is plenty of video
And there were TPP protesters there booing and preventing someone communicating (stupidity) as I said and as The Herald, Stuff and Prime News reported. Let's keep to the point shall we?

    Riiiight
Be funny if you actually got something right

Laugh all you want, but it seems there is a reason why Key only made 7
speeches last year, with two open to the public, and the others all of
    the $90 a head fund-raising type.

Another Dickbot lie is just so easily debunked: https://www.beehive.govt.nz/minister/john-key/speech

It's crap alright - not suprising as it's from Rich; but it does make me wonder, if Little gave a speech, how many would turn up at $90 dollars

    Yeah.
People were booing for various different reasons.

    Tony

I think we can all agree that there were some of the protestors (and
at least one banner) concerning the TPPA - the first videos I saw did
not show that banner, and TPPA was not audible in the booing of teh
speakers - the media did not generally report that not all the
protestors were objecting to the TPPA.

There was an interesting discussion on Jim Mora's programme this
afternoon, with the participants generally agreeing that the protests
are a positive sign for our democracy, and that the motorway protests
were well managed by both the protestors and police - far better than
violence would have been - and also there appeared to be agreement
that the underlying issue of many recent concerns is the issue of
sovereignity - just who does own / control our country, and whether we
are reducing our sovereignity, with the TPPA only one of the related
    issues.

He got booed offstage by the crowd not "TPP protesters".

According to this report it was a loud but small group of about 30 who booed him off. There were thousands of people there that didn't, and I suspect they thought the anti mob there were just wankers.

I know its policy to demonize particular factions and you are saying
what you have been told to say, but its a fact, and you can see it in
the video that they just saw the guy the only in the patronizing
stereotyping pink shirt as a wanker.

30 of them. Just a rabble of anti government unionists and mana party wankers who have zero affiliation with the LGBT cause. They gatecrashed the event and everyone can see them for what they are: wankers.

There were far more than 30 protestors visible in the videos. Thre was
even a person in a National Party shirt looking most uncomfortable,
but it ws difficult to tell whether he was protesting or just a
    staffer for the Nats.

Yes the crowd were booing, and there was at least one anti-TPPA banner

I have no interest in any policy and you make the repeated idiotic mistake of >assuming you know what I believe, wrong again for goodness knows how many times.

that no single policy would have motivated all those that boo-ed the

speeches to New Zealanders outside parliament - on that basis there
were 9. It does seem that publicity about his speeches have caused his

    Maybe there's something there

Well it does seem that the TPPA was a significant factor in the crowds
disapproval of John Key,, Nikkie Kaye and Maggie Barry.
    https://youtu.be/BjN7OYZi7jk

Removing votes for political opinions and not being polite does seem a
    little harsh and intolerant.

The anti TPPA rabble (unions and Mana primarily) are really pissing other people off with this constant hijacking of other groups (TPPA has nothing
to do with LGBT). Just wait and see how this backfires on them.

I've never understood why the acronym "LGBT" has an "L" in it. The "G"
includes the "L", it seems odd to have it separately.

It has been noted that the media and Nat MPs are now referring to
    the
National led government instead of the Key led government.
Keys polling is on the slide and it won't go up again.

It is hard to tell what the protestors were protesting at - it may
well have been the colour of his shirt. See:
    https://twitter.com/annaloren/status/698711715844792320
    and other videos there

Anna Loren referred to TPPA, but the banners in the pic she posted
    were not TPP related.

Another video here - much the same perspective; no mention of TPP

So The Herald and Stuff got it wrong then?

    Yeah.
People were booing for various different reasons.
They will do that when a straight guy turns up in a pink shirt, its
    like
    he is mocking them.
    There is plenty of video
And there were TPP protesters there booing and preventing someone
    communicating
(stupidity) as I said and as The Herald, Stuff and Prime News reported.
    Let's
keep to the point shall we?
    Tony

He got booed offstage by the crowd not "TPP protesters".

According to this report it was a loud but small group of about 30 who
booed him off. There were thousands of people there that didn't, and I suspect they thought the anti mob there were just wankers.

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/politics/news/article.cfm?c_id=280&objectid=11589495

I know its policy to demonize particular factions and you are saying
what you have been told to say, but its a fact, and you can see it in
the video that they just saw the guy the only in the patronizing
stereotyping pink shirt as a wanker.

30 of them. Just a rabble of anti government unionists and mana party
wankers who have zero affiliation with the LGBT cause. They gatecrashed
the event and everyone can see them for what they are: wankers.

You forgot those wearing Green party badges JohnO.

Bullshit. They're the govermnent so they have affiliation to all causes.
If they weren't there you'd bitch about that instead, such is your bitter

The audience is well aware how Nationals MPs voted on Marriage Equality.

Yep, and tell us, how did Key and Kaye vote again?

I'd say that community has a pretty big stake in accessibility to
generic medicines and the influence of Big Pharma on drug patents in the
    TPPA

Yep, and how is accessibility to generic medicine changed under TPPA

Fascinating. Noted by who? And what has it slidden to? And when has any >coalition govt been referred to by its leader's name as opposed to the >party's name?

Just go back through references to John Key - they are apparently easy
    to find: http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/political/296489/media-biased-towards-key-in-2014-researcher

Nowhere in that article is any mention of "Nat MPs are now referring to the National led government instead of the Key led government". Or anything even close. You posted that link knowing this - you are such a transparent,
blatant, recidivist and shameless liar, Dickbot.

Yet another hopeless, hopeless Dickbot fail.

Many journalists have referred to the Key Government, or the Key-led Government. The National-led government is also often used -
especially when talking ab out the need to convince a "support party"
to get legislation through, but I suspect Nat MPs would prefer the
National Government - but i havent checked specific MP speeches - I
suggest you start with Judith Collins'.

Why the fuck would *we* start with anything? *We* are not here to find
evidence to support statements mare by dishonest lefties.

For poll results, just use google - you want more detail than just top
of mind party support - Key's personal rating has been falling for
some time, but its mostly the Nats that base everything on polls . . .

Polls like the last three elections? They've been going in one direction
    only.

    ****************************************************************
Hell little Andy would be wrapped if he could get half the support Key has. Probably even be happy with 25% :)

btw has Andy Little equaled the polling he was getting when the unions
    foisted him on parliament?

When Key makes a speech as Prime Minister, and charges $90, where does
    that money go, Fred?

Into the National party coffers. Besides which when he makes prime
ministerial speeches he seldom charges. If he did the Labour party would be even broker than it is now having to pay every time he gets up to slap down

I've never understood why the acronym "LGBT" has an "L" in it. The "G"
includes the "L", it seems odd to have it separately.

At one time the word "Gay" referred only to men - Queen Victoria is
said to have refused t believe that women could be homosexual, so the
laws against homosexuality only applied to men.

Bollocks. It's because the UK and most other such laws prohibited sodomy.

So you think that was seen as applyng to women, do you JohnO?

Do you have an alternative expanation of why LBGT includes the letter
L, or are you just being offensive to hide your ignorance?

Do you have an alternative expanation of why LBGT includes the letter

    <sigh>

No, idiot. You claimed that the laws only applied to men because it was thought women could not be homosexual. I pointed out that is bullshit. The laws
did not apply to women because the laws were against sodomy, not homosexueality
    per se.

Now... are you so unbelievably thick that you need to be told why sodomy doesn't apply to women?

    Sheesh.

I have now done a little investigation and in one aspect I was
incorrect - Queen Victoria had nothing to do with the difference in
the legal treatment of acts by homosexual men and women.
    For example: http://www.strangehistory.net/2013/08/26/victorian-lesbian-cobblers/

    That link includes:
"... one of the most fascinating facts about sexuality in western
Europe and later European colonies is that way that there was one
standard for male homosexuality and quite another for female
    homosexuality."

    and
" In 1885, after a famous journalistic campaign, Salisbury’s Tory
government passed a The Criminal Bill Amendment Act. The main aim of
this act was to prevent child prostitution and make prostitution more
difficult generally. However, as the act was being discussed a Liberal
MP, Henry Labouchere, introduced an amendment to the Amendment making
it a crime for two men to indulge in ‘gross indecency’. British law
has decided, in its wisdom, and this was probably Labouchere’s
intention, that ‘gross indecency’ would be any homosexual act, not
including sodomy (i.e. anal sex). Though as punishment for sodomy in
1885 was life imprisonment many homosexuals were prosecuted under the Labourchere amendment because juries were far more likely to convict."

    - which is where the difference between homosexual men (Gays, as they
became to be known) and women (Lesbians, as they came to be known)
became evident - it was not just sodomy that gave different treatment
    under the law.

I don't mind what the LBGT people want to call themselves - but
perhaps the discussion has left a few more better informed.

Now... are you so unbelievably thick that you need to be told why sodomy >>doesn't apply to women?

    Sheesh.

I have now done a little investigation and in one aspect I was
incorrect - Queen Victoria had nothing to do with the difference in
the legal treatment of acts by homosexual men and women.
    For example: http://www.strangehistory.net/2013/08/26/victorian-lesbian-cobblers/

    That link includes:
"... one of the most fascinating facts about sexuality in western
Europe and later European colonies is that way that there was one
standard for male homosexuality and quite another for female
    homosexuality."

    and
" In 1885, after a famous journalistic campaign, Salisbury's Tory
government passed a The Criminal Bill Amendment Act. The main aim of
this act was to prevent child prostitution and make prostitution more difficult generally. However, as the act was being discussed a Liberal
MP, Henry Labouchere, introduced an amendment to the Amendment making
it a crime for two men to indulge in 'gross indecency'. British law
has decided, in its wisdom, and this was probably Labouchere's
intention, that 'gross indecency' would be any homosexual act, not
including sodomy (i.e.

Got news for you JohnO. Rich is thicker than you thought. Now Rich is doing
his usual 'Shit I've made a bigger fool of myself than usual' look over here and ignore my stupidity sidetrack. The only one left better informed is Rich itself. Though going by past preformance it won't last more than a few
    seconds.

I think we can all agree that there were some of the protestors (and
at least one banner) concerning the TPPA - the first videos I saw did
not show that banner, and TPPA was not audible in the booing of teh
speakers - the media did not generally report that not all the
protestors were objecting to the TPPA.
    Rhetorical bullshit.
Seven reports from different news ourganisations (not a sinle political blog in this list) all listed the TTP oprotests in the txt. Some of those news organisations are left leaning.
You really do nit know when to shut up do you?

There was an interesting discussion on Jim Mora's programme this
afternoon, with the participants generally agreeing that the protests
are a positive sign for our democracy, and that the motorway protests
were well managed by both the protestors and police - far better than >violence would have been - and also there appeared to be agreement
that the underlying issue of many recent concerns is the issue of >sovereignity - just who does own / control our country, and whether we
are reducing our sovereignity, with the TPPA only one of the related
    issues.
Opinions are everywhere and that is a good thing. My opinion is that deliberately holding up traffic on the busiest motorway in the country without warning is a reprehensible act and one that only the most self-deceptive people who do not give a shit about other people would do. Change can be effectively encouraged in many other ways that do not remove the opportunity for 'ordinary' workers to earn a crust!.
You defend the indefensible once more.

Yes the crowd were booing, and there was at least one anti-TPPA banner

I have no interest in any policy and you make the repeated idiotic mistake of >>assuming you know what I believe, wrong again for goodness knows how many >>times.

It has been noted that the media and Nat MPs are now referring to the >>>>>> National led government instead of the Key led government.
Keys polling is on the slide and it won't go up again.

    Riiiight
Be funny if you actually got something right

Laugh all you want, but it seems there is a reason why Key only made 7 >>>> speeches last year, with two open to the public, and the others all of >>>> the $90 a head fund-raising type.

Another Dickbot lie is just so easily debunked:
    https://www.beehive.govt.nz/minister/john-key/speech

It's crap alright - not suprising as it's from Rich; but it does make me
wonder, if Little gave a speech, how many would turn up at $90 dollars
    per head?

When Key makes a speech as Prime Minister, and charges $90, where does
    that money go, Fred?

    To a very worthwhile cause.

From what I have seen on the interwebs sodomy seems quite popular with heterosexuals.

Yet you never here people calling for the banning of heterosexuals from marrying for this reason. Hypocrites. Often such bigots somehow link
marriage with sex as if one must come before the other. Which is obviously
    more nonsense.

For those in the newsgroup having trouble with the concept, within the
LGBT community female homosexuals are called "lesbians" male homosexuals
    are called "gays".

I had always considered the term "gay" to mean "homosexual". Including men
    and women.

Wilful misunderstanding seems to be a passive aggressive old right wing
    white men's preoccupation.

Bigotry in general is probably more prevalent in the older generations. I'm
not sure there are political biases involved. You could argue that bigotry comes with religion, and there is a correlation between religion and
    political bent.

Oh dear! victor gets shown to be plain wrong and has a little tantrum! There there now.

victor: "within the LGBT community female homosexuals are called "lesbians" male homosexuals are called "gays"."

    That's a rather absolute statement.

Someone who knows what the fuck they are talking about:
"Gay: Can refer to homosexual/same-sex attracted women and men,
but is more often used in relation to males."

But homosexual people of course can call themselves whatever they like, often including "queer". But not according to victor.

So pay no heed to victor, folks. He doesn't know jack shit.

I was one of the protesters. We weren't going to have Donkey mouth the same-old, same-old crap again and again and again. Early on in the negotiations
for the TPPA Key and Groser said "Unless we get what we want for the dairy industry we won't sign."
But did they? Like hell they did! The opposition of Japan, Canada and the US was too strong. Our gallant lads had to swallow the rat and sign. NZ was. once again, short changed. The dairy farmers were lift high and dry. Key gets this so-wanted kudos and
Groser gets the Washington job. New Zealand gets the fingers!

I have always supported the rights of people to peacefully protest and I cannot think of any reason to change my mind about that.
However there are two things that I am not comfortable with.
    1. Not allowing people whoever they are and whatever they repsresent to have their say. Completely undemocratic.
    2. Deliberately and without notice preventing ordinary folk go about their business by blocking arterial roads.
Can you really justify either of those?

Its good to hear from someone that was there, Fred.

I imagine that there would besome people that were there just to have
a good day out and express pride in the progress New Zealand has made
in recognition and tolerance of all New Zealanders. Was there any
negative feedback from those less concerned abouthte TPPA? And were
there any other concerns expressed that led to John Key not receiving
a warm reception? I did see in one of the videos that thee were
National party representatives in blue shirts - was part of the
reaction against the politicisation of what should have been a day
    celebrating other things?

I was one of the protesters. We weren't going to have Donkey mouth the >>>> same-old,
same-old crap again and again and again. Early on in the negotiations
for the TPPA Key and Groser said "Unless we get what we want for the
    dairy
industry we won't sign." But did they? Like hell they did! The
opposition of Japan, Canada and the US was too strong. Our gallant lads
    had to swallow
the rat and sign. NZ was. once again, short changed. The dairy farmers
were lift high and dry. Key gets this so-wanted kudos and Groser gets
    the
Washington job. New Zealand gets the fingers!

    What a load of crap
We have another Luddite within our mist.
That's good the pinkos need some help.
    As Patty has gone awol

    Ps
    get a proper news reader
what ever you are using is crap.

You're a disgrace to the name Fred.. I think Key and Groser are both
    highly skilled negotiators, unlike you.

Do you have a cite for that?

Read some of the mainstream papers from the good old USA Rich. Might open
your eyes up with a lot of luck. Besides why should you expect Fred to do
your work for you as you've told others over the years Rich? Hypocrisy or
just plain stupidity on your part Rich?

    First day, first page, of
negotiators 101 course - don't give your bottom line away before you
start. Bluff and bluster are part of the deal.
Everyone know that Key and Groser have bluff and bluster, Fred - the
concern is whether they have anything else. Are you saying bluff and
bluster are all that is needed?

Bluff and bluster? Isn't that written on the Labour party's caucus room wall and practiced daily here by you Rich?

    Facial expressions and
eye contact can give the game away. If you want to learn a bit more
    -join a poker school.
The "tells" for Key in particular have been known for some time.

Yet have had no effect on his popularity Rich. Must be because the other
option just isn't worth thinking about.

I did see in one of the videos that thee were
National party representatives in blue shirts - was part of the
reaction against the politicisation of what should have been a day celebrating other things?

Regretably many were from the loopy left expressing their frustration at the majority who didn't give a damn at their attempts to sabotage New Zealands prosperity yet again.

Easy to see the loopy left was out in force just by looking at the banners, flags and T shirts Rich. So it's hard to believe reports from the left that
it was 'ordinary' New Zealanders protesting!
