• Government Statistician debunks Grant Robertsons's filthy smear

From JohnO@3:770/3 to All on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 01:41:57
What is it with Labour tossers attacking *independent* public servants?

"National appears to be actively massaging official unemployment statistics by changing the measure for joblessness to exclude those looking online, says Labour’s Employment spokesperson Grant Robertson."

Except it is nothing to do with National. It is the government statistician, a fiercely independent position *by law*, and the statistician is bringing a measure into line with statistics used elsewhere:

It really is outrageous that a public servant has been forced to defend himself
from a grubby cheap shot from a grubby cheap politician. Shameful stuff from Roberson but no surprise - Labour has long had form for attacking public servants who don't fit
    their narrative.

And today a weasel-word apology from Robbo: http://www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/83274805/govt-call-for-labour-mp-grant-robertson-to-apologise-to-government-statistician

    What a wanker.

Meanwhile, NZ unemployment has dropped to 5.1% (that's using the same method for past values) and dairy prices have just gone up in the last round of GDT auctions. Sucks to be a lefty!

But what else can you expect from a fraud of a fat fairy in Liebor?
When ever Liebor actually get into power I hope these civil servants
remember how they've been treated and respond
