Opinion from left wing Brian Rudman. Is this an example of you posting facts, Dickbot?

It's an example of the politics of negativity. It's telling that Rich only posts negative things about National and not positive things about Labour.
The reason for that is not difficult to work out. No one wants to support whiners.

It's an example of the politics of negativity. It's telling that Rich only >posts negative things about National and not positive things about Labour. >The reason for that is not difficult to work out. No one wants to support >whiners.

It does point to possible ways out of the mess NAtional have created -
for example see the last two paragraphs:

"With veteran Labour heavyweight Phil Goff the obvious front-runner
for the mayoralty, National faces a third defeat in a row. Is it any
surprise the Government is trying to blame this ungrateful child for
    every woe in sight.

It's even being vindictive, rejecting calls for additional
fund-raising methods such as regional road tolls, or for
infrastructure bonds that could be paid back via targeted rates.
Instead, Mr Key says sell assets, such as the port company and
    airport, which most Aucklanders oppose."

Now I would have thought positive means of raising funds such as
user-pays regional road tolls should be acceptable to you, Allistar -
or even infrastructure bond - both positive market solutions that have
been rejected in favour of compulsion and central government dictating
to the 1.4 million voters in Auckland.

What would your positive solution be, Allistar?

National are a national political party. They don't and can't run for the mayoralty of any city. That's up to individuals. Surely you would know that?

I have ignored the rest of you post. You have proven yourself to be a
    habitual liar and mud thrower.

Where is the mud, Allistar? What do yu have against user pays road
tolls, or persuading investors to buy bonds as means of funding
initiatives? Why do you think the current government refused to allow
the council to adopt these methods of funding?

Did you not read what I wrote? National are not and can not stand for the mayoralty of Auckland. To say that "National faces a third defeat in a row" shows a complete ignorance of the difference between local and national politics.

I have ignored the rest of you post. You have proven yourself to be a >>habitual liar and mud thrower.

In most of your posts. All you do is complain.

What do yu have against user pays road
tolls, or persuading investors to buy bonds as means of funding
    initiatives?

Nothing. For you to suggest I have anything against that is just another example of your continued dishonesty. It's a despicable way to hold a discussion and you've been called out on it a number of times. And yet the dishonesty continues.

Why do you think the current government refused to allow
the council to adopt these methods of funding?

Why don't you ask the current government? Are you mistakingly thinking that
I either work for them or support them?
