What a load of crap. All Google showed was a spike in searches on "TPPA". It says nothing about the opinions or beliefs of those performing the searches. It makes a mindless assumption that people searching TPPA instead of TPP implies something.

The article does laud the disruption the protesters caused. A relatively small number of anti TPPA protesters managed to annoy a very large number of other people. That the anti TPPA mob of idiots think this helps them goes a long way to show that Labour
and the left are still a very long way from getting into government in NZ.

So how is this comparable (as you have) to the TPPA protest? My point
is that your comparison (the Scots College being a procession to
honour an event) does not equate to the TPPA march (a political
protest march). As far as I know no advance notice was given by the
TPPA protesters to block intersections as they did.

So what penalties should apply to future protests, Crash?

My point is that comparison of the two is not valid. I thought I made
that clear in my first post.

What a load of crap. All Google showed was a spike in searches on >>>>>>>"TPPA".

Disrupting traffic is obviously something that deeply offends you
    JohnO.

Do you think street marches should be banned?

Preventing people from going about their normal business shouldn't be >>>>>allowed. They could have protested on the foot path.

What sort of penalites should there be then, JohnO?
    http://www.tfw.govt.nz/news/scots-college-parade-could-cause-significant-delays/

Rich - do you not see the difference between a future scheduled parade >>>celebrating an event and raising funds for charity, and unannounced >>>political protest action blocking intersections?

There was plenty of notice for both parades - if anything public
notice for the TPPZ protest was more widely available.

How much notice was there for the fact that some intersections may be
blocked for the TPPA protest marches?

Zero! In fact the loopy leftys ran to keep ahead of police. It was their announced intention on their blogs and websites to cause as much disruption
as possible. So typical of the loopy left minority (or should that be miniaturity) to push their uninformed agenda on a deal that was being signed and they hadn't seen up till that date.

    You will be
pleased to know that there were no arrests at either of the two
events. I sdid noticve that you did not answer the question as to what
you believe would be suitable penalties for a protest march . . .

If the Scots College parade had deliberately followed a different
route and/or run at a different time with no prior notice then you
might have had a valid point.

So how is this comparable (as you have) to the TPPA protest? My point
is that your comparison (the Scots College being a procession to
honour an event) does not equate to the TPPA march (a political
protest march). As far as I know no advance notice was given by the
TPPA protesters to block intersections as they did.

Waste of time trying to reason with the unreasonable troll Crash. He'll
never comprehend what your getting at or just how good the TPPA will be for
NZ if it get's past the idiots in the American congress.

So what penalties should apply to future protests, Crash?

My point is that comparison of the two is not valid. I thought I made
that clear in my first post.
