For Nick Smith, this represents good progress. For a quick distraction
idea with no research behind it, he has done well to get as far as he
has. At $54 million for 25ha, he only needs another $1,080 million in
the next budget to persuade a few government departments to move
somewhere else and buy the other 450 ha! And if Bill English isn't
prepared to meet that cost, its not Nick's fault. Win all round!
The article isn't clear about whether any houses have been made
available but that really doesn't matter does it - it wasn't the aim
of the project anyway.
Watch the Nat bots get behind yet another success from our government
- its better than talking about why John Key dropped the tax rate on
foreign trusts from 28% under Labour to zero!
