"Screams of pure terror" - that happens when you ignore the commands of a police officer and after warnings the police let the dogs loose; These terrific pooches are not your average pet!.
I am waiting, hopefully for a very long time, for someone to complain that the police officer 'swore' at the offenders causing them mental anguish resulting in them ignoring commands to stay still; I am sure the "innocent until proven guilty" people that were chased and terrified by dogs following an unpleasant ear bashing by a swearing policeman will suffer for decades. I hope they do! Tony

After they pulled an 'armed home invasion' why weren't they just shot ?
Imagine what the 'invaded' are feeling about it

Indeed it has all the elements of an ideal distraction. Extreme
emotion. the comfort of knowing someone else was in trouble, and the reassurance that there are bad people out there that are worse than we
are but there are also brave defenders who will save us - and the idle speculation of the wimpering class that the bad people with also be
pathetic in providing further entertainment. What's not to love?

Far better than looking at why the crime happened, or indeed any of
the other ills of our society that need attention - now that the flag
has been squashed, what is there not to love about this story?

I am so pleased you found it a distraction, something that I certainly did not. The rest of your response is imjaginative drivel - must have taken you hours.

Out of context responses can sometimes be of value, but not this one.

The crime happened because they belong to your 'It's my right to help myself
to other peoples property and entitlemwnt' engender by marxist muppets like
you Rich. You ignore the main reason muppets like these do crime. It's about choice and these people chose to break the law and invade peoples homes.
Pity fools like you and the ever protective Labour party arn't smart enough
    to understand this.
