    The rules around holiday pay rate calculations are a dog though. I've spent some serious time and customer money getting packaged software to work at least
    approximately to the rules and I'd say there are thousands of businesses around
    that are not 100%
    exactly compliant with them.

    You are so right, I have had to sort out several ares of confusion over the last 10 years and often the companies using them were using high quality well known software for their payroll.
    On one occasion the payroll software was going to overpay severance to one employee that quit by more than $1000 but I caught it in time because it just seemed wrong.
