• Dick Smith closing down sale? Don't bother

From JohnO@3:770/3 to All on Sunday, March 06, 2016 22:51:20
Had a look... advertises as "20% to 50% off all stock*"

But of course the * signals the exceptions such as Apple only 5% off.

Very hard to find anything at 50% off apart from rubbish like cellphone covers.
Almost everything of any value was 20% off.

FFS retailers are always having 20% off sales or better, and they aren't going out of business leaving you with nowhere to take a faulty product.

Try again, Dick Smith/receivers. I wouldn't touch any of your stuff unless it was at least 50% off.

Make a low ball offer, and if that doesn't work - pinch it.

It is still worth comparing prices - I did recently and bought
    significantly cheaper at PC Technologies.

Funny you should mention that. There's a DSE downstairs I went in there to see if I could get a deal on a cellphone for one of the kids. I already knew Noel Leeming had a better offer so asked if they would match it. Answer was "no". They don't appear to
give any discretion to their retail drones. This was before they went tits up. No wonder.

Discretion is being increasingly limited - trust is discouraged all

Once again Dickbot gets it completely wrong. The decision to deport is completely discretion based. Discretion was not "limited" it was overused.

No. That advice was for rich. I knew he'd be trolling through to see how
to twist this into an anti-national message in line with his paranoia.
He had a failed attempt with some ludicrous suggestion that some
immagration fuckwit's enthusiasm was the govt's fault.
