• Notes for QABF03 (A Springfield Summer Christmas for Christmas)

It's a fine line to walk when making fun of something and also basically creating an example of it. I guess I fall ever so slightly in favor of this, but mostly because it undermined the formula at the end and wasn't painful to sit through (even if the
diner scene was a bit ridiculous, and do airbnbs often - or ever - have the hosts present?). Ellie Kemper, who I like, was somewhat indistinguishable (I'd never have picked out her voice if I hadn't seen a promo ahead of time), but it was fun to get
Chris Parnell and Richard Kind on the show after all the voice work they've done.

    DYN:
...a Wilhelm scream as one of the sound effects played from the treehouse? ...the fake-snow machine seems to have an extremely dangerous male-male power cord?
...the real Jingle all the Way (co-starring Phil Hartman, speaking of wrongful death) was named in Mary's tragic backstory instead of a soundalike title?

    Previous episode stuff
CABF06: Skinner's tunnel through the (fake) snow reminds me of a previous tunnel

Add another to this post-Doris-Grau Lunchlady Doris speaking list (in two scenes, yet, and I can't help but notice the now-voiceless Apu and Manjula sharing the frame with her - I'm just sayin'):

The doctor boyfriend/fiancee is wearing his stethoscope in a deprecated,
and unsafe, manner. Doctors and nurses now wear stethoscopes
horizontally with the middle tube wrapped around the back of their neck,
or folded in their lab coat pocket. Wearing a stethoscope vertically
with the earpieces around the neck can cause the chestpiece to snag on something, become more easily contaminated, or at least uncomfortably
bang against the lower body when running for a code blue.
