Welcome to season 31, and I certainly hope it gets better than this. The entire
viral video thing was not only embarrassing but so far from any grounding in reality (as far as the fights, etc. - not to mention the hipster constantly directing out loud
during them!) that I just didn't care at all. Hipster guy wants Bart and Homer to fight to the death? 10 seconds later, they decide they can't. Ooh. Not exactly on the edge of my seat. (Remember when Homer was sent to the electric chair? You knew he wasn'
t going to die, but you felt something!) That resolved itself even faster and more pat than the Lisa B-story, and I would not have thought that possible. (And act 4 coda: why is the angry guy on Homer's web show?)

    DYN:
...Homer's phone doesn't blank the screen when it's up to his ear?
...the "kebab" in a shish kebab refers to the roasted meat, while the skewer is
the "shish"? (I guess it's not as catchy to say shish-cheer-up. Oh well.) ...Warburton Parker may be named after the hipster eyeglasses brand Warby Parker (which apparently takes its name from two Kerouac characters)?
...what may be a real preview of an upcoming episode, a teaser that "Homer buys
a boat" on 11/3 (at 8/7central), which could indeed be true (possibly an episode called "Gorillas on the Mast")?
...the stain on Homer's shirt after the diner fight doesn't keep up with the rest of him, making a really weird effect (especially in this day of digital animation tools, when even in cel animation it'd look bad)?

    Previous episode stuff
2F01: Seed bell, Bort license plate
YABF12: the show seems to suggest that Bart "flossing" is a first, but he did it last season (in April), and only now they're saying "don't sue us, backpack kid" - huh?

    Dedication and other repeat alerts

This episode got a dedication "In loving memory of Mike Mendel" before the Gracie logo; this was a producer on the show since 1994, and it looks like he just died a week ago. Probably won't see this one again, or will we (producers and crew of late seem
    to have more luck)?

In any case, I was wondering if Russi Taylor would get another mention once new
episodes returned, but I guess that answers that. In fact, I noticed that Martin appeared in the episode but conspicuously didn't talk. I wonder how much
    voiceover work she
had completed for future episodes. We'll see!

And I didn't actually remember to catch the weird Saturday airing of YABF16 on the 21st. Since dedications are sprouting like weeds this summer, I have to wonder if anyone got mentioned in THAT.

On the subject of repeats, I might as well make a quick note that the third airing of YABF14 was joined in progress here at about 7:06 (with the usual 32-second abbreviated NABF21 opening), even though the game did just end at 7.

Finally, mark those calendars for repeats of this episode. Do we think it'll keep the "homer buys a boat" teaser gag after the date is past?

I enjoyed it. It wasn't great. That monkey cracked me up. I remember Austin Powers 3 movie made fun of that video too.

Why is this ant sick again, but with a nasty allergy (leaks, sneezes, and itches)? No cold, flu like from over a month ago, massive poops and pees from this stupid old body. :(
