• Notes for XABF16 (Treehouse of Horror XXIX) and XABF14 repeat

Not the worst. Opening segment eating contest was fine. Body snatchers was also
fine. Split personality Lisa was stylized in a way that I didn't love but the only actual complaint I have is that it didn't have a real ending. Geriatric Park (I've been
hearing that title since the third Naked Gun movie) was cute and full of nods I
enjoyed. Where were Kang and Kodos?? (And does Sunny D count under the usual definition of "orange drink?")

    Previous episode stuff
3F03: Lisa's angle of "you don't win friends with salad" is shown as part of her pod/transportation sequence

    Goof
In the headstones, there is one for Toys 'R' Us (with the usual backward R), but both punctuation marks are open quotes (note they taper toward the top). In
this case, since the "R" is understood to be in quotation marks (single in this
    case), the one on
    the right should taper down.

    Limited commercial interruption
Tonight's lineup is being shown, as it was last week, with commercials of shorter length, and as I write this it hasn't gotten to the point where I see what they stick in from 8:55 to 9:00, but The Simpsons ran from about 8:01 to 8:29 again.

    XABF14 repeat
The season 29 finale (Flanders' Ladder) reran at 7:00, and predictably (though perhaps not so much given the R. Lee Ermey wrinkle as recent as last week), it was missing the Tom Wolfe dedication. The credits actually grew in length, too,
    from 47 to the
    usual 48 seconds.

I like its Apple parody again.
