• Notes for XABF03 (Haw-Haw Land)

Pointless episode with two half ideas for episodes jammed together. I haven't seen La-La Land. I can't imagine it goes like this. Bart's "good boy after all"
story, though toyed with before, was promising, but rushed and undermined. Even
    the one bit I
really enjoyed, about those chip readers that take forever, was badly executed.
Of course, it almost goes without saying that the whole thing was incredibly short.

    Meta
Box of used couch gag props in the garage.
Lisa's sax playing consists of a brief clip of her "crazy bebop" opening solo. Episode title appears on the curtains at the end of act 3.

Don: 8:06 to 8:37 in Cleveland. The football game was over before 8.

I haven't seen La La Land either, and had no idea that's what they
were parodying until Marge mentioned it at the end. I wonder if they
put that little stinger in there because they realized that the
episode was so bad that people might not even be able to figure out
what they were making fun of.

Worst episode I've seen in a long while, and that's saying something.

The writers appear to be sucking fumes from the idea tank. It really
is past time to put a stake through the show...
