    I thought it would be a second rate spin-off of a series that has long been second rate but it's actually very good. Having a separate storyline in the same world, the characters are three dimensional with believable interactions, unlike the utterly contrived ones of TWD. These are interesting characters and although there isn't as much violence and gore as the early episodes of TWD, there is a much better balance of dialogue, drama and action.

    Even if you hate The Walking Dead (which I have come to understand to be a valid point of view), it's worth checking Fear... out if you haven't already.

    i think it's got better over time.
    now its on the same time period as the original series it does make it a
    bit less different- part of the attraction was seeing how the whole
    thing came into being but overall i'm sticking with it.
