Sadly no relation to EL DIA DEL BESTIA. Ex-con nutter entrusts his daughter to grebby Mexican ex-priest for a potential exorcism.

First 80 mins are all pretty predictable with "is she possessed" or "is he a dirty old man tormenting an innocent" mystery playing out as you'd expect
and the eventual resolution pretty obvious. Once that's out of the way I quite enjoyed the last ten minutes. Maybe just fast forward to that bit?

Lots of set-up for a sequel - probably a bit optimistic I think.

Unlike the spate of EXORCIST rip-offs that were released in the 70s and
80s, I don't have much interest in this round of possession films. A few
have been really well made, THE CONJURING and OUIJA:ORIGIN come to mind,
but I look at the sub-genre like most other people look at yet another
    zombie film.

Exorcisms are pretty boring to watch too - one bloke reading from a book and sprinkling
water while another bloke is rude in a deep voice. That gets old pretty quick.

Though if THE WAILING is to be trusted, Korean exorcists are bat-shit insane and
    every film should have one.
