So I've been watching some horror. In reverse order:
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
Finally, something fucking good! In a universe where Freddy Kreuger,
Michael Myers and Jason Vorhees are real, an up and coming professional slasher allows a film crew to follow him around and shoot a fly on the wall documentary. Takes a while to get into the spirit of the thing but great
fun when it kicks in.

Host
Allegedly the best horror film of 2020. Doesn't surprise me. An online
seance leads to exactly what you think it would. Not great when as soon
as the cast is introduced you're hoping they die as quickly and
painfully as possible.
Slaxx
Killer jeans go on a rampage in a pretentious fashion outlet. Already
been done in In Fabric (are ideas really in such short supply?), the
best I can say is it's not as bad as the previous two.

In Search of Darkness
A four and a half hour documentary about 80s horror that I've been dipping
in and out of the past few days. Definitely worth watching, would love to
see the same done with 70s horror.
