I like David Harbour, but sorry mate, you're no Ron Perlman.

Whatever happened to Neil Marshall? Not bad to start with DOG SOLDIERS and DESCENT. Not been so great since.

This rambles all over the place. What're all these side-plots that go nowhere? Nimue's rebellious assistant (Gwenddydd - how the fuck do you
pronounce that Gareth?), Thomas Haden Church as some jet-pack hero,
some pommy toffs fighting giants? Apparently Hellboy is surprised and hurt
to find out that the Brits originally planned to kill whatever the Nazis were summoning from Hell. No shit.

Everybody mumbling so I don't know what they were saying but I don't think I missed much in the way of sparkling dialogue.

Looked nice though and I hope Ian McShane paid for a new conservatory
with his share of the proceedings.

CENTURION and DOOMSDAY are worth a watch. I'm guessing that neither of
those films did well at the box office as Marshall wound up in television.

I can never work out if I've watched that or not - seems like a bunch came out at the same time.
The legate ends up as King Arthur - or was that just a vivid dream?

    DOOMSDAY

Yep "worth watching". Not quite the same thing as "good".

I don't recall any tie ins to King Arthur. There are theories though
that the legion depicted in the film was part of the legend of King Arthur.

The film reminded me quite a bit of the old Hollywood action films such
as THE WAR LORD or THE VIKINGS.

I can appreciate how bonkers the film is.

Apparently I'm thinking of THE LAST LEGION or maybe the Clive Owen
    KING ARTHUR.
