    You know you're a pretentious dick when DESIGNATED SURVIVOR pops
    up as recommended and you think I'm not having any of that Hollywood
    shit, then you see the Korean remake and start watching immediately.

    I enjoyed this. Touch sentimental at times, but Korea, eh?

    Good to see Heo Joon-ho evil teacher from VOLCANO HIGH. Wait is he
    Lord Ahn Hyeon? Anyway...

    Weird times we live in where VICE seems like a boring documentary and
    this story of a smart leader putting his country's needs before his own
    like some ridiculous fantasy.

    Such a great story hook, everyman outsider thrust into the most powerful
    job in the country. An idea obviously seen before in the US original,
    and in BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (she was also the Education Minister like
    Park Mu-jin), Tom Clancy did a version but I think we can all agree on the original inspiration and still the best: KING RALPH.

    Haven't seen the Keefer version but for what it's worth the Korean version got better reviews. Plus I learned some stuff about the Korean political system and
    why our local Korean BBQ is called "The Blue House".
