I don't recommend this film unless you can appreciate being trolled and
are a softy at heart.
After the inexplicable explosion of a student, a geeky highschooler
decides to seize the day and ask out his crush. As more of their
classmates explode, their relationship blossoms as they face their
mortality.
The two main characters have such a great on-screen dynamic, it's hard to
not cheer them on.
I felt cheated by the end, but the two characters are so sickeningly likeable, I can forgive it.
Or maybe I'm just losing my mind from the lockdowns....Actually, that
does seem to be the most likely explanation.

This reminds me of "The Inconstant Moon" short story by Larry Niven where an amateur astronomer concluded that the sun had gone super nova when he noticed the moon had tripled in brightness and he had until morning to live!
His mad dash across town to live out that a.m with the woman he longed for is pretty sappy but awesome!
