Another film that's been done a time or two before, this version focuses
on a woman who has run away from her abusive husband, who is an
obsessive narcissist. But is also fantastically wealthy, having made a fortune in the field of optics and microscopic cameras.
When she learns her husband has commited suicide, she finally comes out
of hiding. But it seems her problems are only just beginning.
Wierd things start happening at the house, as if theres someone in the
room manipulating things. She gets drugged, her sister receives abusive emails from her, someone attacks her friends whilst they're there and
she's constantly aware that someone is watching her when there's no one about.
Seems her husband may not be dead after all and might be putting one of
his latest inventions to good use.
Whilst I've previously been critical of films like the Black Christmas remake, which deviated so greatly from the original source material they
can barely be classed as remakes. This latest version of The Invisible
Man is actually a good example of how to do a remake that is only
loosely connected to the original, but still pretty damn good.
There's a constantly tense atmosphere, as you just know he's about
somewhere, but you never know where, or what he's going to do, which
makes for gripping stuff.
Definitely worth a watch.

I assume you will be doing your usually yearly round up, or is that
cancelled due to the lack of releases?
