• Halloween - Italian BD Box Set

I was after the Shout Factory Halloween complete collection box set, as
it had the Producers Cut of Halloween 6 in it and a stack load of extras.

Sadly, this is now out of print. But found there was an Italian Blu-Ray
set with this on, which also has most of the same extras on and it

The main difference appears to be that the US box set also included the
Rob Zombie remakes of Halloween 1 & 2, whereas this set only has the
original 8 films. But I'm not bothered about that.

I'm sure there are other extras that were probably only on the US
release, but haven't gone through this properly to compare. Currently
listening to the commentary track on the Producers cut of Part 6.

Only negative thing I will say is that, with this being an Italian
release, it seems if you listen to the commentary tracks whilst watching
the films, you get forced Italian subs. But aside from that minor gripe,
    no complaints so far!

Honestly, why bother with any HALLOWEEEN films after the original 3? The first two go well together, and three is just plain fun. The rest were boring sequel shite & remakes.

The first two are very tedious, neither has aged well.

In contrast, the third one has aged like a fine wine.

I didn't know - or have forgotten - that Nigel Kneale wrote the original screenplay to III.

Real shame that Carpenter's plan of Halloween being an annual anthology never materialised
and instead we got the never-ending adventures of Mike Myers.

327 more days to Halloween, Halloween, Halloween.

Watching the latest title, or a random one from the past (fucked if I can
ever tell the difference), is as essential a part of October 31st as
    Halloween 3 is.

Agreed. That would have been a breath o' fresh air.
