• TRAIN TO BUSAN

What the fuck? Everybody raved about how great this flick is. I FINALLY watch it & it's the most generalized, standard Asian zombie-film. I've seen this very flick at least 20 times, just not taking-place on a train or subway. What's all the hoopla
    over it?

The characters are outstandingly written and brought to life. We've all
seen zombies before. We've all seen the corporate bigwig who is willing
to sacrifice the poor. We've all seen the cute kid who is wise beyond
their years. This film took those tropes and made them fresh and
entertaining by creating characters that we care about. I never cared
about the characters while watching BIO-ZOMBIE or VERSUS or LIVING DEAD
    IN TOKYO BAY.

I never really cared about the transparent cliches in this, either. They are tropes - standard stereotypes & cliches done to death with just enough tugs on the heart-strings to make the watchers of The View shed a tear.

Much like with good coffee, it's a acquired-taste.
