Wales wasn't infected cuz they can swim faster than underwater zombies
can walk plus they are super crafty and know better than to approach
underwater zombies so they never get bit. Same goes for dolfins and

Your guess is as good as mine but many cephalopods are quite capable of
bursts of speed exceeding 20 mph, certainly faster than even the
fastest of underwater zombies. Many have much harder bites, as well.

Plus not to mention the rules for aquatic zombies have only been thinly established and competitive means of zombie locomotion such as
jet-propulsion via directed expulsion of gases of internal
decomposition are not beyond the realm of possibilty in addition to
such potential adaptations as ride-hitching on sharks, giant squid,
narwhals, and a host of other weaponizable creatures remain
possibilities which I personally would prefer not to see realized!

A dangerous rumor, Dennis, inasmuch as Zombies are submersible from
Lake Titicaca all the way over and down to the Mariana Trench and are
fully cosmopolitan although they would be expected to slow
significantly as they navigate polar waters.

What an informational trove you have provided for us on the natatorial skills of mollusks and the undead, Amos!!@
I was especially impressed with the propulsion properties of the zombies due to
the decompositional gasses!!! Tell me though....if the zombies suffer methanical failure would that mean they would have to join the cephalopods at the Shell station and if
    so.......

We all float down here, Shirley, but a Zombie could theoretically
maintain a semi-passive neutral buoyancy via the aforementioned
directed venting of internal decompositional gases AS THEY ARE PRODUCED.
