Another one that's been sat on my "To Watch" pile for a while.

Based on an Edgar Wallace crime thriller, a young girl is stabbed to
death in a park. Police suspect a prominent TV presenter, who was
spotted in the park shortly afterwards as he apparently knew the girl
and matched the description of the killer.

But after he is convicted and jailed, 2 more murders occur and the
police are forced to conclude that the circumstantial evidence used to
convict him, may not have been as airtight as they first thought.

As a result, he is subsequently released and the police are forced to
try and find out who the real killer is.

This is your typical early 70s Italian Giallo, with numerous twists in
the plot. We find out the defence lawyer may have done a half-arsed job
in defending him, as he was having an affair with the chaps wife. Which
appears to indicate he was innocent. But then we're left wondering if he actually did do it and theres a copycat at work.

In many ways it was rather reminiscent of those old American detective
films they were always showing on TV during the 70s/80s. Really one for
fans of Italian Giallos only though.

i liked this but it was utterly ridiculous - killing all those innocent
people just to make your plan come true.
