This has been on my "To Watch" pile for a while and finally gott around
    to viewing it.

Set in the 70s, some guy goes crazy everytime he hears disco music and
starts killing people, which is connected to a traumatic childhood event somehow.

So, having just lost his job at the diner, it probably wasn't such a
good idea when a sympathetic neighbour takes him out on a pity date to a
local disco (lets just say, it was murder UNDER the dance floor).

He subsequently flees to canada, where they all speak fucking French for
some bizarre reason and gets a job in a school as a handyman,
    masquerading as a deaf person.

Somehow he manges to keep his head down for a couple of years, but after hearing music from one of the girls dorm rooms one evening, quickly
reverts to type. And the local cops, along with a NYPD detective who
believes these are connected to the earlier killigs, set out to hunt him
    down.

Very darkly humoured, this was actually quite fun. Although clocking in
at just over an Hour and 15mins isn't overly long. Only bone of
contention was the mid section of the film where everyone is speaking
fucking French, so I had to read the subtitles, which I dislike doing.

Brilliant, this sounds perfect for later AND it's on Prime. See, it hasn't
    all been for nothing.

Disco itself is a traumatic childhood event. I already sympathize with him.
