Think I may have finally put my foot in it at work, or rather my fist.

Was trying to operate one of the machines at work. The touch screen
control panel was playing up, think the calibration was off, so when you
went to press one of the buttons on the screen it would actually press
one of the buttons next to it, not the one you wanted.

Been like this a while, no one has done anything about it and it makes
    it extremely awkward to operate.

I've not been myself lately and everything that morning was just winding
    me up big style.

So after about an hour of this, I lost my rag and smacked the screen
with my hand out of frustration as I was so fed up with it.

The screen subsequently imploded into a 1000 different pieces and found
myself with some serious explaining to do (£6000 worth of damages
    apparently).

Anyway, got a disciplinary scheduled with the factory manager next
    Tuesday, facing "possible" dismissal.

Going in with my Union rep, he's hopeful it won't come to that, but
    we'll have to see.

Jeeez, when I screw up, I don't do things by halves!!!

Can't see how they possibly WOULDN'T sack you. Your only hope is (assuming
you have some sort of mental health medical history) a half-arsed suicide attempt over the weekend. Just enough to get you in hospital for a
psychiatric assessment and a sick note.

    YOU'RE WELCOME.

You can take some small comfort from the knowledge that no matter how bad
it gets, I'll not be feeling much better.
