Just got the new limited edition BD/DVD of Suspiria, which came out in
the UK recently from Cult films. Which is taken from a brand new 4K
    restored Master.

Must say, looking at the BD, it looks absolutely stunning. Almost like
you're looking through the camera lens. Did a quick comparison with the
old US Anchor Bay DVD and the colours are certainly way more vibrant in
this, which seem much paler on the old AB disc. Plus, there's virtually
no grain, you could almost be fooled into thinking this was a digital recording.

Only minor gripe, would have been nice if they had included the old
Audio Commentary track Dario Argento recorded for the old Anchor Bay
disc as an extra, instead we get a new audio commentary track with film
critics Kim Newman and Alan Jones, which is OK I guess, but it's not
like they had anything to do with the actual production. Also would have
been nice if they'd included the old theatrical trailers on this, which
    are sadly absent.

Aside from that, looks really great. Not sure if there's any plans for a
UHD release for any of you with 4K TVs, but for now this new BD is
    certainly the ultimate viewing experience.

it would be a good candidate for HDR.
wonder if they got the soundtrack correct this time?

What was wrong with the soundtrack?

when first remixed for dvd from the original 4 channel soundtrack a
number of people complained about the mix saying that in some cases
actual whole sound effects were missing.
