    Not bad, quite enjoyed this.

Set sometime in the late 60s, a bunch of young teenagers break into a supposedly haunted mansion on Halloween night.

In the cellar they discover an old writing book, which belonged to one
of the houses occupants back in the 1800s, which contains a bunch of
    hand written scary stories.

But after removing the book from the house, their friends start
dissapearing one-by-one. To make matters worse, the stories as to how
they died/dissapered start appering in the book.

Passed 90mins quite well, seemed to have a bit of a Stephen
King/Stranger Things vibe to it. In that we're dealing with young kids
who are coming of age and starting to deal with all the crap that life
    is throwing at them.

So might not be to all tastes, but the incident with the young lad and
the scarecrow was pretty effective. Which was rather reminiscent of Dark
    Night of the Scarecrow.

    Worth a watch.

I never read the books and therefor feel totally untempted by this movie.
Might look at it when it hits cable.
