I'll try and make this spoiler free

Not as good as The Force Awakens.

Some good action scenes, but plot was a little weak.

The resistance/rebellion appears to be run entirely by women. One of
which bears an uncanny resemblence to Mrs Slocombe.

Stupid bird like creatures called porgs introduced for no other reason
than for Disney/Hasbro to sell more toys

Virtually every supporting actor with a speaking role was either black, oriental, female or a combination thereof.

On a pure entertainment level, yes I enjoyed it. But not one of the
    better Star Wars films.

First Disney era SW movie that I didn't immediately fall in love with.
None of the new characters felt very interesting or appealing this time. I understand why they are phasing out the originals, but at this point I'm
not left with much to hang onto.

Fun factor was hurt by a lack of Han, or of anyone else who was fun to
    watch in his stead.

Of course, near senior citizens like myself are not exactly their target audience. Something I felt acutely aware of for the first time.
