    People in space encounter an extra-terrestrial life form. That's probably not going to end well.

    I quite liked this. Parking the usual complaints that the creature seems
    to be made of some sort of evil space magic and that being weightless stops
    the sensible-decision part of your brain from working, this is a decent thriller. As some commenter said, with Ridley Scott making whatever Ridley Scott is making this is the closest to a new ALIEN that you're going to get.

    on the monster loose on a space ship sub-genre.

    I watched GRAVITY over the weekend and now I'm confused what life on ISS is really like: operate escape pod by reading manual and entering commands in Cyrillic or hit big red button?
