There were a bunch of these spooky one-word films that came out at the same time (SINISTER, INSIDIOUS, OCULUS) and I'm always confused which one is which. This is the one with the spooky doll (barely in the story if we're honest)
and that a bunch of daft seppos believe actually happened.

Don't watch this one on your own. You need someone to bitch to about all
    the stupid things that happens.

To be fair there is one scene that accurately portrays the experience of
being the only man in a house full of women. You get home from work, there's screaming in one room, crying in another, someone's just been jumped on by a ghost dwarf from the top of the wardrobe. Tempting to turn around and get back on the bus.

If the spirit living in your house joins in your games of hide-and-seek that's not evil, that's just it being a dick.

It's the one with the two-word title - THE CONJURING.

I liked it and the sequel (think another one's just come out) but mainly because I like Patrick Wilson.

    Ditto on Patrick Wilson!

    He never disappoints!

Never heard of him. He's going to be in the third one, and in ANNABEL COMES HOME (!) and is apparently in four INSIDIOUS movies, so you should be happy. Well, by your standards.

He was Owlman in WATCHMEN. Also starred in LITTLE CHILDREN and HARD CANDY.
He's the kind of blond, leading man type that I should hate on general principle, but he's played a fair amount of interesting roles, and mostly played them well.
