The strange kind of made for tv movie that could only be made in the 1970s. geeky mother's boy ronald celebrates his birthday, alone, with his
mother. after this he decides to visit a local girl and ask her out.
naturally the girl cares not one bit for ronald and he leaves her house embarrassed while her friends laugh at him.
he stumbles into the girl's young sister knocking her off her bike.
an argument ensues, he shoves her and as is always the way in this kind
of film the girl bashed her head on a random breeze block and is
promptly killed.

not being too smart, instead of running off from what's clearly an
accident ronald buries the girl, runs home and tells his mother.

what's a guy to do? - mother knows best, he builds a false wall in front
of the downstairs bathroom with a convenient hidden door and hides
inside until as his mother puts it 'it all blows over' (!)

this would be fine except that shortly afterwards his mother dies during
an operation leaving ronald alone.

a new family with 3 nubile young daughters moves in, ronald has secret
eye holes drilled in walls so he can spy on them.

he retreats into a fantasy world, conjuring up a world of heroes and
princesses where he is the hero, sure to rescue the youngest of the
daughters in the house to be his.

utterly preposterous but not without it's charms, it doesn't outstay
it's welcome either at an hour and a quarter.
all very daft but well worth checking out.
