    what a nasty little film.
    a serial killer played by matt dillon describes in flashback five
    incidents in his life when he murdered women or children to an unseen
    (until the end of the film) companion he calls verge - you'd have to be
    dense to not realise who that might be.

    eventually we see who he's talking to and where he's off to while the
    end music suggests the maker has a sense of humour after all.

    it's another lars von trier film and features some rather unpleasant
    violence and it's really far too long at 2 and a half hours.

    I had dismissed this one because of the reviews, but looking at that clip
    it can't be all bad.

    I thoroughly enjoyed it, and yes whilst all of his films run about half
    an hour too long, i gotta give ol' Lars bonus points for being able to unashamedly go so far up his own arse as to show clips of his own films
    while a character describes 'great art'.

    Up there with ANTICHRIST and DANCER IN THE DARK as one of my favourite
    outings from the poisonous little dane. Fun for the whole family.

    life.


    I don't think many of us would be able to stomach yours. Perhaps we
    could take one scene each.
