A film that REALLY should have been Escape Plan 2 in my personal
opinion, as it has a much more similar theme than the actual sequel.

Anyway, this one stars Van Damme as some sort of covert agent, who the
govt suspect was trying to sell some flash drive full of highly
classified information. He's subsequently abducted by some black-ops
team and imprisoned in a cell in a submarine, where they proceed to
    interrogate him.

Of course, he gets free and goes on the rampage throughout the sub, as
he tries to find a way off. Whilst his boss, who was the one really
flogging secrets to the enemy, and some corrupt agents tries to stop him

Dolph Lundgren turns up in a supporting role as a fellow prisoner, who
spends most of his time stuck in a cell, whilst Van Damme is assisted by
a couple of CIA agents who have figured out who the real bad guy is and
    try and help.

Not bad, but not a cinematic masterpiece by any stretch.

I rented this a few months ago and you appear to have liked it a bit
better than I did. It's more of a time waster than an entertaining film.

Well, it passed 90mins reasonably well.

It wasn't "bad" film as such. Not a film I would pay to rent, but it
happened to be on Netflix so thought it might be worth a punt.

In retrospect, maybe more akin to "Under Seige" than "Escape Plan".

Which one? The nature run amok one? The JCVD team up with Dolph Lundgren?
