These were the 23 films I watched in October. Just to please White Lady,
    I've included scores:

HOLD THE DARK (2018, USA) 5/10
    CHARISMATA (2017, UK) 5/10
WHO KILLED COCK ROBIN? (2017, Taiwan) 7/10
    MALEVOLENT (2018, USA/UK) 7/10
VISITANTE DE INVIERNO (2008, Argentina) 5/10
    THE BARN (2016, USA) 7/10
THE FIRST PURGE (2018, USA) 8/10
    BUYER BEWARE (2018, Malaysia) 6/10
    KNUCKLEBALL (2018, Canada) 5/10
    PICKINGS (2018, USA) 7/10
    HARAKIRI (1962, Japan) 8/10
    SUMMER OF 84 (2018, Canada/USA) 7/10
THE SCOPIA EFFECT (2014, UK) 3/10
    SHANDA'S RIVER (2018, Italy) 4/10
    RABBIT (2017, Australia) 8/10
    POSSUM (2018, UK) 5/10
BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT (2018, USA) 4/10
    ATERRADOS (2017, Argentina) 8/10
    THE DARK (2018, Austria) 5/10
    I AM A HERO (2015, Japan) 8/10
    OUR HOUSE (2018, Canada) 5/10
THE WITCH IN THE WINDOW (2018, USA) 5/10
    THE NUN (2018, USA) 4/10

This would be more useful with a sentence or two accompanying each title and rating.

For example, I have quite enjoyed the PURGE franchise for its lightweight, obvious charms as popcorn entertainment and have an interest in whether the new entry is more or less the same.

That said, I may give THE BARN, MALEVOLENT and RABBIT a go. THE NUN was always going to be dried dogshit.

If I did that, I would be pretty much back to doing reviews and I stopped
    all that.

For example, I have quite enjoyed the PURGE franchise for its
lightweight, obvious charms as popcorn entertainment and have an
interest in whether the new entry is more or less the same.

I'm impressed with how well they've explored the idea and the latest one
does a decent job of presenting how the purge night was initially rolled
out. It's only real letdown was the contact lens cameras which I thought
were a step too far. Fortunately, they don't play a major part.

That said, I may give THE BARN, MALEVOLENT and RABBIT a go.

I'd recommend I AM A HERO - Even though I am not a fan of zombie films,
that one was very enjoyable (and most of it is set in a shopping mall).

    THE NUN was
always going to be dried dogshit.

I was actually surprised how bad it was. It would have received a lower
score if it wasn't for the scenery.

The only film on your list that I have seen. It was a decent enough of a
watch. A little preachy but not too bad.

Wasn't too keen. Interesting idea turned into a not too interesting film
    (and a bit of a rip-off of Martyrs). 5/10

    I AM A HERO (2015, Japan) 8/10

Nearly didn't bother when I saw it was based on Manga, but I'm glad I did.

It's more of a series of interconnected buildings. But I do sometimes find myself on an isolated tower that starts to collapse.

    Awful? I love those cunts.

I met all of them en masse at a convention called Cinema Wasteland a
number of years ago and quite liked them. I met and talked to Hess
    numerous times over the years

Oh, you just think you're so fucking GOOD, don't you.

and, god help me, own several of his
    albums on cd.

Does the building ever fall over in your dream?

It's more of a series of interconnected buildings. But I do
    sometimes
find myself on an isolated tower that starts to collapse.

Yeah...I never dream about zombies, though.

No matter how many times I put LHOTL on before bed, I never dream of

    HAR HAR! PISS THE BED!

Speaking of which, I must point out FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY that the
commentary with Krug, Weasel and Junior is absolutely fucking brilliant.
Even if you don't like the film, you cannot fail to love it. Guaranteed.

They come off seeming like awful people, but HILARIOUSLY awful people. And >man, they dish up the dirt on everybody.

The Arrow release (which includes this commentary) is a must own.

My husband left on a business trip. The boy must suffer for that. I'll
    start with this one.
