really doubt it should be anywhere near the top twenty.

Awful list. There's only 3 on the list that really deserve to be on there.

the hungry caterpillar 2 is certainly very memorable - part 1 and 3 are really bad, part 2 at least has a strange quality to it and the main
actor certainly gives himself to the film.

First time I've looked at the list, TBH, and I've seen about half of them.
A welcome inclusion in what seems to be the result of throwing darts at a
of movie names is HOSTEL PART II. I was, at best, lukewarm on the originalwhen
it was first released but I have moderated my opinion of it somewhat of late.I
always preferred this sequel, though. I think that it goes to someinteresting
places and manages to tell an interesting story from multiple perspectives.I
reckon that it might scrape into my own top 20 if only just.

It has definitely struggled, but that's to be expected when everything
has been done and originality is hard to find. However, if reviewers are limiting themselves to mainstream releases, then the results are bound to
be uninspired. Independent films is where the ideas are.

THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT
RINGU
Nobody could object to:
REC
MARTYRS
SESSION 9
DAWN OF THE DEAD
28 WEEKS LATER

And I will have to insist on:

MUM & DAD (not the Nicolas Cage one)
That's 11. I will generously let somebody else pick the rest. But these
would be my choices (which actually come to more than 20!).

IRREVERSIBLE
A FIELD IN ENGLAND
KILL LIST
TRAIN TO BUSAN
IT COMES AT NIGHT
TRIANGLE
THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS
THE ORPHANAGE
CALVAIRE
SINISTER
FUNNY GAMES (?)

Dead to me.
I will also have to include RADIUS which was on the Horror channel last night, but is more sci-fi really. A man wakes up in a crashed car with
no memory of what has happened but soon learns that anyone who comes
within a certain radius of him immediately drops dead. 8/10

Some of my favourite films are from the last 20 years. SESSION 9,
BATTLE ROYALE, TALE OF TWO SISTERS and (included to wind up Dr W)
PONTYPOOL.
Gather round.
We've already got:
AUDITION
THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT
RINGU
Nobody could object to:
REC
MARTYRS
SESSION 9
DAWN OF THE DEAD
28 WEEKS LATER
LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (not just because it's named after a Morrissey
- the author is a massive fan)
And I will have to insist on:
BORDERLANDS
MUM & DAD (not the Nicolas Cage one)
That's 11. I will generously let somebody else pick the rest. Butthese
would be my choices (which actually come to more than 20!).
In order:
KAIRO
IRREVERSIBLE
A FIELD IN ENGLAND
KILL LIST
TRAIN TO BUSAN
IT COMES AT NIGHT
TRIANGLE
THE GIRL WITH ALL THE GIFTS
THE ORPHANAGE
CALVAIRE
SINISTER
FUNNY GAMES (?)
See. I can be normal if I try really hard. The pain, though....

UNDEAD. And when was RAZORBACK made?
But let's be honest, the Australian film industry is total and utter
shit these days.
THE LOVED ONES
Delivered a lot less than its premise, ah, promised. Didn't mind it, though.

I really enjoyed THE LOVED ONES. More than likely I would have passed it
by if not for a recommendation here.
